Bike, in prime working order. Traditional bikes are acceptable
(road, mountain, hybrid...but not recumbent) as long as they
meet rule 5.11 Bicycle Specifications of the
USA Triathlon Competitive
Rules book. Do not assume that race bike mechanics will be able
to overhaul your machine!' All handlebar ends must be tapped with bar end plugs (obtain from your local bike shop).
- Footwear for comfortable cycling
- Helmet which meets current impact
test safety standards. Check the inside styro lining of your
helmet for the safety sticker.
- Bike tire pump or Quick-Fill CO2 cartridges.
- Clothing for biking and running.
- Money - To pay for late registration
on race weekend, USA Triathlon single-event license (for those
not carrying a $39 full-year USA Triathlon license), off-site
parking where fees may be charged.
- USA Triathlon Annual Membership
Card. We recommend that you buy one if you plan to compete in
at least 3 races throughout the year. Only other option: pay
