Transition Conduct

Time Out! triathlon staging areas are set up to ensure the safety and privacy of the racers and the security of their equipment. Please follow these guidelines: (and underneath this with bullet points:)

  • No family members, friends or coaches inside transition. Only registered athletes, race staff, volunteers and those credentialed for admission are allowed;
  • Do not duck under or step over fencing that is constructed as perimeter borders for the transition;
  • Equipment race staff feels to be excessive will not be permitted inside transition (such as but not limited to chairs, crates, stationary bike trainers, buckets, glass containers);
  • Athletes will be required to show their racing numbers, Championchip and safety-approved helmet upon entering transition for check-in…and will be required to demonstrate race numbers when exiting transition with bikes and gear;
  • Racking your bike on a rack not assigned to your 8-number sequence will result in penalty and possible disqualification.
  • Race staff may close the entrance to transition at check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of the race. Gauge your time accordingly!
